July News: New Labels

New Eco Friendly Labels

Good news! We are in the process of switching the plastic labels on all of our refillable products to an eco-friendly alternative. Our new labels are derived from wood cellulose, and use ink that is certified compostable unlike many soy-based inks which are mostly petroleum based. They are also higher quality than our old labels in that they are nice and smooth to the touch, as well as being waterproof. You will also notice a change in their appearance; while our original labels were opaque and flat, the new ones are slightly translucent. They look very cool and stylish. If you receive a new label, please let us know how you like it.

Plastic Free July® is a key initiative of the Plastic Free Foundation that works towards our vision of seeing a world free of plastic waste.

The movement has inspired an estimated 326 million participants in 177 countries. By choosing to refuse single-use plastics in July (and beyond!), we can make a massive difference to our communities.  

The Dental Lace Team had a blast sharing tips and tricks for Plastic Free July and joining up with other plastic free brands for Giveaways. As a company we are beyond excited to switch from plastic labels to an eco-friendly version with perfect timing to celebrate Plastic Free July. 

 

Our Friends at Good Natured Brand

Good Natured Brand was born out of love and pride for family and home. Janice, owner and mother of two young boys, wanted to keep her home nice and clean, without harsh chemicals, artificial fragrances, and other junk that could make her family sick. This passion for natural living is what inspired the Good Natured Brand.

We recently met up with Janice and took a tour of her facility. It was incredible. They offer a variety of natural cleaning products that are all made locally in South Portland Maine. I personally love their laundry detergent, surface cleaner and bug spray. Janice is an honest and sincere business woman who is working to save our planet one household cleaner at a time.
