Shoreline Cleanup
If someone were to ask me where my favorite place in the whole wide world is, I would have to answer with my family’s camp on the coast of DownEast Maine.
My parents first brought me here as a baby 63 years ago, and since then, I’ve made a point of returning as often as I can. There’s just nothing beats walking the coastline, collecting seaglass, picking blueberries from the nearby barren, or relaxing on the porch, enjoying the refreshing sea breeze, and waving at the occasional passersby. Plus we get the freshest seafood right off the dock from our lobstermen friends.
This year we spent some time picking up the plastic waste that washed up on the shore.

It’s that time of year again. For many people, the fun, relaxing days of summer are over, and it’s time to return to school.
